Please read the DJ Rules and Responsibilities carefully and thoroughly.
For the purposes of this agreement the owner's of Power & PaSSion Live Radio that the DJ's position at the Station is unpaid and it is a volunteer position.
Live performances and artist interviews are encouraged. Please discuss such events with the Station owners if you have any questions about the air-ability of your live show plans.
As a DJ, your role is to inform and entertain our listening audience in a professional, respectful, and ethical manner. The reason the station exists is to promote the music of our artists to the widest possible audience.
Drinking on air is permitted. DJs broadcast from their own homes, after all. DJs will, however, maintain the ability to perform their duties in a professional manner.
DJs are responsible to show up online, on time, and be prepared for their shows. If you are going to be late, please make every effort to notify any staff member, preferably someone online. If you cannot make your show due to sickness, unavoidable scheduling conflicts, or any other valid reason, you are responsible to notify the Station as soon as possible. Excessive absences will not be tolerated.
DJs will play on-air advertisements as required by the Station. DJ's are encouraged to create promos advertising their own shows or special events.
DJs understand that violation of any of the rules above will result in termination. DJs also understand that they, and not the Station, are legally responsible for whatever they may say on air or type in the chatroom .
As a DJ, you will receive the following at no cost to you:
1) A valid, legal license of SAM Broadcaster. Upon leaving the Station for any reason, you hereby agree to fully uninstall the software.
2) A Skype account. You should install this and check in daily, unless you are out of town or otherwise unavailable for a good reason.
3) At least one 2-hr, permanently scheduled shift, unless you are assigned “floating” duties.
All DJs must understand that this is an upstart effort, and that these guidelines may change. When they change, the Station owners will send out notices to all DJs through their personal email accounts and Power & PaSSion Live Radio Skype room.
